Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only offer genealogy services?
No, while genealogy and family history research are my major focus, I also work on a variety of side quests, or specialized services that involve research, planning, education, and creative problem-solving.

What do you mean by a "side quest"?
A side quest is a project that doesn't fit neatly into traditional genealogy research but still requires investigation, organization, creativity, or problem-solving. Examples include historical research, document organization, travel planning, educational resources, and other custom projects.

Do you work with clients outside of Georgia?
Yes, most services can be provided remotely. I have worked with clients and projects from Georgia to Texas, and even all the way in Australia.

How does pricing work?

Services are priced based on the scope, complexity, and goals of each project. Some services have hourly rates, while larger research or custom projects may require a personalized estimate. You can view starting prices on the Genealogy Services or Side Quests pages or contact me to discuss your needs.

Genealogy — Do I need to have an existing family tree?
No, projects can begin with as little as a few known relatives or family stories.

Genealogy — Do you work with international records?
Yes, and please keep in mind that projects involving overseas archives, foreign-language records, or specialized collections typically require additional research time.
